I’ve read all the main GoT books and Fire and Blood, but I never read Dunk and Egg. I’m ready for a good story. Hopefully.
- So, we start off with a dead body. Cool, cool, cool.
- Are all three horses his?
- Oh, to be an actor whose only job is to lay there.
- Don’t head to King’s Landing. Nothing good ever comes from going there.
- Was he trained as a knight? Or just picked up the skills? I’m a little fuzzy on that.
- Oh, there’s our good GoT music.
- And, immediate cut to him pooping. Lovely. Not really needed. Was that the first attempt at some humor? Because that hurt.
- Is that Egg?
- Who is this?
- Who is anyone? Is this how people felt watching GoT when they hadn’t read the books?
- Where did Dunk get money?
- Egg, you are like 9. Why are you bald? Unless he has the Targaryen hair. Then, it makes sense.
- Time for a tourney.
- We’ve seen more children running around with no fear than in all the other shows.
- Is Dunk telling the truth about actually being knighted?
- These humor attempts are rough.
- Then how did he pay for his meal if he hasn’t any coin? Make sense, Mr. Knight.
- A hedge knight is a knight, but sadder.
- Has Dunk never interacted with normal people? His understanding of the world seems a little lacking.
- Such familial love between cousins, there.
- First naked person, and it’s a man. Truely a drastic change from GoT.
- Why is that woman pretending to be dead?
- Now, I can see his real height. Dude is huge.
- Halfman is now meant differently. Half man, half giant.
- Lyonel is an interesting person. Definitely see Robert in him.
- Ok, seeing Lyonel dance got a full laugh out of me.
- Dude is well and truly wasted.
- Not Dunk wearing the antlers now. He is giving Loki.
- Dunk is an overthinker. Join the club.
- Lyonel looks a lot like Tyrion. I wonder if the beard was intentional.
- And look who’s here. Egg.
- Yep, King’s Landing. Just the Red Keep, not Flea Bottom.
- Ser Duncan the Tall. Good man.
- Embrace the hedge knight name, Dunk.
- Egg is so small.
Well, short but sweet. Some fun moments so far. It’s a much simpler story, but enjoyable.
