Stranger Things Season 5, Episode 1 Thoughts

  1. I did not get a chance to rewatch everything so I appreciate these long recaps.
  2. Chrissy, wake up!
  3. I miss Eddie.
  4. Characters that I need to survive: Steve, Max, Dustin, Erica, Robin, Hopper. All others are up to Vecna.
  5. Flashback to Will’s disappearance. Kid has gone through so much.
  6. That tree is precarious. The sense of fear is always built so well into this show.
  7. Did they CGI Will to be younger, or make this scene in season 1 and save it?
  8. Oh, Vecna. I do hate you.
  9. I needed to add subtitles because what the heck is Vecna saying?
  10. Okay, cool. Just impregnating Will. Cool, cool, cool.
  11. I need to know what the full plan was, Vecna. Did he know what would happen?
  12. Hey there, Holly. Haven’t seen you in a while. Wait, wait, wait. Why is Holly waving at Slenderman?
  13. How many people are in living in that house now?
  14. And once again, Mr. Wheeler has no idea what is going on.
  15. Medium chance of arrest? I love Robin.
  16. I love that Robin and Steve now have a radio show.
  17. They really covered the hole in the ground with a metal slide. I too, would sled down it.
  18. Oh, come on. Don’t hurt Robin’s girlfriend.
  19. Dustin is so done with everything. Poor guy. He reminds me of Max from last season. He’s mourning Eddie.
  20. Sassy Dustin is my favorite Dustin.
  21. Vecna is going to go after Dustin, isn’t he?
  22. Is El on the run or is she training with the military?
  23. Who was that?
  24. I like seeing El actually training, and not just screaming and moving her hand.
  25. So, the military doesn’t know El is out there training? A bit confused by that.
  26. Immediate tension between Nancy and Steve.
  27. Not the dick measuring contest.
  28. Oh, snake friend.
  29. Of course, Robin is able to pass on information through her show. She did crack the Russian code in season three.
  30. El in her bath and Will with his goosies. I love Steve.
  31. So, the plan was Hopper in the Upside Down. Is El supposed to be with him?
  32. Here comes Will’s goosies.
  33. I wonder if someone has calculated how much time Will has spent staring at the sky in this show.
  34. Are Will and Holly connected now? I’m confused about why Holly has such a connection to the Upside Down now. Did she have one before?
  35. I don’t like those fingers on Slenderman dude.
  36. That teacher is calling the military on Holly, isn’t she?
  37. I picked a wrong time to start eating. What is Dr. Kay dissecting?
  38. Wait, was that base in the Upside Down?
  39. I get Hopper is cautious, but why wouldn’t El go with them to search for Vecna?
  40. At least Hopper knows he can’t face Vecna alone.
  41. Hopper, maybe tell that to El, too.
  42. Oh, hello snake friend. I was waiting for him to pop back up.
  43. I’m glad Mike listens to Holly about her “friend.”
  44. Aw, he made a figurine for Holly. That’s very cute.
  45. Poor Max. I really need her to make it through everything.
  46. Will, my guy. Calm yourself.
  47. Blood or paint? BLOOD OR PAINT?
  48. HE KILLED THE SNAKE?
  49. Someone save Dustin, please.
  50. I swear, the people in this town are so dumb.
  51. Crap, Mike, why did you tell El about Will’s goosies? She’s going to sneak in after Hopper now, isn’t she?
  52. I feel like they should be more concerned about Dustin missing.
  53. I understand Joyce is concerned about Will, but she keeps him so far away from everything when he’s probably the key to it all.
  54. I knew Steve and Jonathan would end up working together.
  55. Hopper is a romantic.
  56. Someone give Holly a better parental figure.
  57. Van is on the move, and I’m still worried about Dustin.
  58. Ah, there are the goosies.
  59. Time to run, Hopper.
  60. Stay in the truck, hopper. Do not fall out.
  61. Ok, bad advice. Maybe jumping out would have been the move.
  62. Is the demogorgon the slenderman thing?
  63. Why is the demogorgon going after the Wheelers?
  64. Damn, neither parent even checked on Holly.
  65. Holly, please leave the room. I beg you.
