The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 7 Thoughts

  1. Who is ready for more pain? Apparently, me.
  2. Recap, I didn’t want to see his death again. I have complaints.
  3. I didn’t need to see Ellie beating Nora again, either.
  4. Dina is freaking out, but Jesse is trying his best.
  5. And Ellie isn’t there to comfort her.
  6. Even at that moment, Dina was thinking of her baby when she said she wouldn’t drink the alcohol.
  7. I don’t blame Jesse for needing to check if that was really Ellie. Man is wound up tight.
  8. At least Ellie didn’t come back covered in blood.
  9. Even while injured, Dina is taking care of Ellie.
  10. Whale and wheel. Game players know what that means.
  11. I can’t tell if Dina thinks Nora deserved that or not.
  12. I can’t remember if Ellie ever told Dina about what Joel did in the game.
  13. So, Dina is over this revenge tour. I wonder if she would have been if she hadn’t been injured.
  14. I wonder how Shimmer is doing.
  15. I also wonder where Tommy is at this point.
  16. Thank god, Shimmer is okay. Thank you, Jesse.
  17. Welp, Jesse isn’t dumb. You’ve got to give him that.
  18. Dang, not Jesse saying he can’t die because he’s a father. That hurts after last week’s episode.
  19. Multiple prophets? Hmmm.
  20. Good old Seattle, always raining.
  21. That soldier that came with Issac is a menace now.
  22. Ellie, don’t.
  23. The more Jesse says he’s not dying out here, the more I know he will die out here.
  24. WAS THAT COSTCO?
  25. Oh, yes. Abby and Owen are missing. And so is Mel.
  26. Manny is still alive, though.
  27. Why is Abby so important to Issac?
  28. So, he wants to pass WLF to Abby? Considering she has been after her own revenge this whole time, I think Issac hasn’t been paying very good attention.
  29. No Tommy. Uh oh.
  30. Not the baby books.
  31. I’m glad they can clear the air between them.
  32. Jesse doesn’t have parents in Jackson. Another difference.
  33. Sniper? Here’s Tommy.
  34. I thought Jesse didn’t want to go looking for Tommy. He changed his mind quickly.
  35. Damn it, Ellie. Go get Tommy. And leave. Let’s make this a good ending, please.
  36. Oh, Jesse voted no.
  37. Ellie, honey, I get it. But Jesse is not being convinced by this.
  38. Ellie, that wasn’t a good plan.
  39. I’m shocked that boat engine is working.
  40. Also, Ellie knows how to control a boat? And in a storm?
  41. Spoke too soon. Hi giant wave.
  42. Oh? Child.
  43. Seraphites. Lovely.
  44. Ellie getting caught by the Seraphites was not on my bingo card.
  45. Damn, that child is cold blooded.
  46. Again, so Ellie somehow ended up on their island. And by some coincidence, the boat did too. And the village gets attacked at that same moment. That’s a lot of coincidences.
  47. And Ellie still keeps going after Abby, despite almost being strangled. This all seems a bit too contrived now.
  48. Also, I thought no one else knew about Owen’s secret place at the aquarium, besides Mel and Abby. How did Nora know about it?
  49. Well, Yara defintely loses her arm, still.
  50. Nice try, Owen.
  51. Oh, she got Mel too.
  52. Oh, jeez. Mel wants Ellie to get her baby out.
  53. And Ellie is too afraid to do it. I feel like she should have tried.
  54. Ellie would have let her live if Owen hadn’t been an idiot.
  55. Potentially enough time for them to have tried to get the baby out. At least, that’s my opinion. I have no medical knowledge to back that up.
  56. And Tommy’s back. Can’t forget about that.
  57. TOMMY, DON’T LEAVE
  58. COME BACK
  59. DAMNIT
  60. I DON’T WANT THIS
  61. JESSE
  62. STOP
  63. NO
  64. I KNEW IT AND I’M SO MAD
  65. JESSE, COME BACK
  66. I wonder who Abby thought was killing her friends.
  67. Abby didn’t really let her live. Owen did.
  68. We end with a gun shut, and a black screen.
  69. Oh, right to the Abby viewpoint now.
  70. I don’t know if I like this or if the ending should have been with that black screen.
  71. Though, I guess this just goes to prove that the next season will be all about Abby.
  72. I’m mostly mad, not sad now. See you in two years.
