The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 3 Thoughts

  1. If I don’t watch, then last episode didn’t happen.
  2. That’s a lot of dead infected.
  3. I wonder how many people died in that fight.
  4. The decision to split up Tommy and Joel during last episode definitely creates a more compelling reason why Tommy wants revenge.
  5. Oh, not that. “Give Sarah my love.” That hurt.
  6. That hurts more. All she sees is Joel getting killed.
  7. That cold open was brutal.
  8. No, not removing Joel from that too.
  9. Three months later. Okay, so they actually are giving Ellie and Tommy time to recover instead of just sending it.
  10. So, Ellie has been in the hospital for three months.
  11. Gail returns.
  12. She didn’t talk to him after the dance. That has to hurt Ellie even more.
  13. I like this interaction between Gail and Ellie. Ellie’s sassiness lives on, but she is totally just putting on a brave face.
  14. He carved animals out of wood?
  15. The watch and jacket combo are causing tears for Ellie and me.
  16. Ellie doesn’t want anyone to know how much she is hurting.
  17. Dina didn’t tell Ellie who they were.
  18. Their relationship is so strained here. Dina and Ellie aren’t together and Ellie is so upset.
  19. Dina got everyone’s name except Mel.
  20. 10 miles south of town. That’s so far for a graveyard.
  21. SCARS
  22. This little girl is adorable. And I see her dying very quickly.
  23. They really only have hammers to protect themselves?
  24. Jesse took over for Joel on the council.
  25. Rachel isn’t wrong. 16 people who survived the battle going off again, so soon.
  26. Oh, Seth is on Ellie’s side here.
  27. Their acting is so good. This message is beautiful.
  28. Seeing Ellie actually write out what she wanted to say and not just letting her anger rule says a lot.
  29. I knew they would reject it. But I would have expected that vote to be closer.
  30. Gail is out in the field, watching baseball, drinking. I’m crying.
  31. Gail doesn’t think Ellie can be saved. Gail sees all. All hail Gail.
  32. Captain Wyoming. Very fitting for Jesse.
  33. Dina has everything figured out. She really is the brains of the operation.
  34. Seth? Woah. All right. He really is on Ellie’s side.
  35. I get that Ellie still dislikes Seth, but damn. Dude really delivered.
  36. Come on Ellie.
  37. Good move. I actually like seeing Seth have more of a character here. I wonder how he’s going to explain all that to Maria.
  38. Also, I just realized. It’s been three months. If Dina is pregnant (like in the game), she clearly already knows here. I’m guessing that plotline may have been axed.
  39. The coffee beans on his grave. Oh man.
  40. Poor Shimmer, stuck in the rain.
  41. Oh, Dina went back to Jesse after the dance.
  42. Dina is leaving it open, but said she went back to Jesse. I’m a bit confused about this.
  43. Nope. Person lying in the road. Nope. Bad.
  44. Wait, it’s the Scar.
  45. Yep, Dina is pregnant. That plotline lives on.
  46. Dang, all the scars got taken out. Even the girl.
  47. Are the Scars really not as much a threat to WLF as in the games? Because they got destroyed.
  48. And here we see the wild car in its natural habitat.
  49. Tanks. Of course they have tanks.
  50. I think Ellie was wrong about there not being a lot of Wolves. That looks like a lot to me.
