- I have mixed feelings leading up to this. I did enjoy Game of Thrones, but the last season was far too rushed and left a lot of story out. Here’s hoping this show lives up to the hype of the first several seasons of GoT.
- Will we get the great theme song too?
- 10 dragons. And Dany had 3.
- King Jaehaerys. i know that name. I read the book.
- You have to love the male fear of having a woman in charge.
- 172 years before the Mad King. Got it.
- Ah dragons. I missed them.
- The hair gives me so much of Dany.
- I want a dragon friend.
- I read the book, but I still need nametags for everyone.
- Queen Aemma doesn’t seem to like dragons that much.
- Right, right. Daemon, the brother. In charge of the City Watch.
- I thought Viserys named Rhaenyra the heir. I thought that happened in the book.
- Valyrion, haven’t heard that in a while.
- How old is Rhaenyra at this time?
- And here comes the incest comments.
- So, Alicent is Rhaenyra’s friend here.
- We all want to eat cake.
- Would that be greyscale?
- I like Aemma. She’s sassy.
- Oh, magic dreams.
- Well, one dragon didn’t like the Iron Throne.
- WOMEN ARE NOT WALKING WOMBS
- This is giving me Unsullied vibes.
- Nope. Didn’t need the howling.
- Guess it’s time to just beat everyone up.
- Must have been a thief to get his hand chopped off.
- Oh, raper. Sucks to suck. Get f*cked.
- That is a wagon of body parts. No other comment.
- What was that round thing they placed on the table? Does everyone in the Council have one?
- Sounds like every big city to me.
- I forgot Daemon is married to Rhea in the Vale.
- Oh, that’s Otto Hightower. Alicent’s father.
- Mysaria, Daemon’s mistress has arrived.
- Let’s have a giant tournament while Aemma is in labor. Lovely.
- The Queen that Never Was. Make her the queen she deserves to be.
- Oh, Daemon gets to choose his opponent.
- Oh, that was a dirty trick. He aimed for the horse.
- Who is that cute little girl with the white hair?
- Oh god. Her screams are so realistic. Labor is not for the faint of heart.
- Um, someone is a little angry that he didn’t win.
- And he’s dead. Lots of death going on now.
- Does Aemma make it? If they can’t turn the baby, they will have to cut her open, right?
- Emergency C section it is.
- At least let Rhaenyra see her mother before you do it.
- Viserys, call for your daughter. She needs to see her mother one last time.
- At least warn Aemma what is going to be done.
- I am cringing in pain. My god.
- Thank you for muting the screams.
- Oh god, this is so hard to watch.
- How about the Citadel learn how to save the women after the C section instead of just saving the baby and letting the women bleed to death.
- Oh god, the bloody bed hurts.
- Why didn’t the let Rhaenyra see her mother one last time? I’m so angry about that.
- Was it worth it Viserys? To get your heir?
- Oh crap, the son died too. It really wasn’t worth it.
- Otto, I swear. Let the man grieve.
- Name Rhaenyra the heir and be done with it.
- THE DAUGHTER
- THESE DAMN OLD MEN
- YES, A GIRL
- Yes, Viserys. Tell them off. You deserve to have tie to grieve and not think about the heir for a moment.
- Otto, we know what you’re trying to do. Stop trying to force your daughter to seduce Viserys.
- He has a model of King’s Landing in his bedroom. Did Viserys make that himself?
- Oh, not “heir for a day.” That’s just rude.
- I mean, Dameon isn’t wrong about Viserys being weak and his council sucking, but he’s going about it the wrong way.
- Oh no, He cut himself on the throne. Never a good sign.
- Which dragon skull is that?
- Balerion. Got it.
- Rhaenyra really has perfected the looks that Danerys pulled in GoT.
- Yes, make all the realm acknowledge Rhaenyra as the heir.
- How’s it feel to pledge fealty to a woman? Suffer you sexist men.
- A STARK
- Well, Viserys knew about the white walkers then. I guess the information didn’t pass on very well.
- The music. Not going to lie. Goosebumps.
- I believe they aged up the characters because Rhaenyra was named heir when she was still a child in the book. If I remember correctly.
- This was good, and I look forward to the next episodes. It definitely didn’t rely too heavily on knowledge of GoT which is surprising, but I like it. It means others can watch without needing all the background information. Now, if only GRRM would finish writing the books.
