House of the Dragon S1E1 Thoughts

  1. I have mixed feelings leading up to this. I did enjoy Game of Thrones, but the last season was far too rushed and left a lot of story out. Here’s hoping this show lives up to the hype of the first several seasons of GoT.

  13. I thought Viserys named Rhaenyra the heir. I thought that happened in the book.

  51. How about the Citadel learn how to save the women after the C section instead of just saving the baby and letting the women bleed to death.

  65. I mean, Dameon isn’t wrong about Viserys being weak and his council sucking, but he’s going about it the wrong way.

  69. Rhaenyra really has perfected the looks that Danerys pulled in GoT.
  70. Yes, make all the realm acknowledge Rhaenyra as the heir.

  73. Well, Viserys knew about the white walkers then. I guess the information didn’t pass on very well.
  74. The music. Not going to lie. Goosebumps.
  75. I believe they aged up the characters because Rhaenyra was named heir when she was still a child in the book. If I remember correctly.
  76. This was good, and I look forward to the next episodes. It definitely didn’t rely too heavily on knowledge of GoT which is surprising, but I like it. It means others can watch without needing all the background information. Now, if only GRRM would finish writing the books.
