Welcome back to the inner workings of my mind. Have you ever wondered if aliens are out there? And where could they be? What the look like? etc. Well, so have I. I personally believe they do.

Reason 1: There’s an estimated 100 billion stars in space. The sun is a star, and it has been shown with other star systems that there are planets found around other stars like the way this galaxy is. Not every star would have planets, or asteroids, moons, etc. that revolve around them, but based on the estimate of how many stars there are, and some scientists put that estimate at 3x as high, there has to be a large amount of other star systems that can sustain life. That doesn’t mean that every planet or star system will have life, but based on the estimates given by scientists, there could be 20-50% of star systems that could sustain life. That life might look different, be composed of different elements than carbon, but that doesn’t mean it can’t exist somewhere in space.

Reason 2: We cannot be the only intelligent life forms out there. Based on reason one, and the fact that we know space is expanding outward, which can only result in more star systems and planets forming, there has to be other life. In fact, there’s been debate for decades about whether Mars harbors or did harbor life in the past. Methane has been found in the atmosphere of Mars, which is often produced by microorganisms. There is also proof of water having existed on the planet in the past. Alien life can be microorganisms alone, so if their existence is proven on Mars, then aliens exist. Just that simple.

Potential reasons:

UFO sightings: I don’t believe that every sighting was a UFO, but there are some that simply can’t be explained away. But also, why would aliens come to our planet? It’s a freaking mess.

Alien abductions: I don’t know enough about any of these stories to know if they are credible or not. So, let’s leave this one in the maybe pile.

Ancient technology: Ever heard the theory that aliens helped make the pyramids? I don’t believe that at all. But there are some cases of ancient civilizations being more advanced in their knowledge of technology than would be expected. Again, this could just be cases of a civilization having intelligent people who could make these advances. Or some alien being came and gave them the knowledge? A lot of ancient art portrays beings from the sky. Maybe they saw them, or just thought they existed, as we do today. Who’s to say? I don’t believe that aliens really gave ancient civilizations technology or knowledge, but perhaps they did see them, which may have prompted the people to think bigger.

Overall, there’s a lot of bull out there about alien life, but scientific theories do support the existence of alien life, and I’m on the side of science.
